Just a small disclaimer...

I am not a geneticist or scientist — just someone who once studied vet nursing with a lifelong love of dogs, horses, and many other species.

My interest in colour genetics started through online games, trying to figure out how coat colours worked, and that curiosity spiralled into building tools to help visualise them. Now, I am working on expanding this site to include explanations of how these genes work, in a way that makes sense to me and (hopefully) to others too.

I do my best to base everything here on current knowledge, but genetics is a fast-moving field, and some parts, especially where the science is uncertain, might involve a bit of interpretation or artistic licence to help make things clearer or to get the tools working. Nothing here is meant to replace proper scientific research, and if you're looking to dive deep, I definitely recommend checking out published studies and up-to-date sources.
